Stabilizing unstable energy during eclipses

We are in the midst of eclipse season. Yesterday was our second eclipse within a month. There are many people feeling the affects of these energies. Eclipses are known for bringing unstable energy, rapid changes, and bringing subconscious experiences - primarily that which relates to what lives in the shadow in the psyche, comes to surface. This post is not at all to be scary, but is to simply inform and guide you in harnessing these energies to bring a deeper understanding of self and to clarify your direction.
Feeling Emotions ~
There can be feelings of scattered energy and also repressed typically “shadow” feelings in culture like anger and/or sadness coming to surface. Now is an excellent time to listen to what these feelings are communicating - not necessarily to take rapid action, but to listen deeply in order to cultivate insight to our own true vision for our lives. Tools to explore feelings and emotions in a safe space include art like oil pastel or painting, writing, meditation, breath work and yoga. If these feel overwhelming or you are unsure where to get started it may be helpful to work with a coach, somatic practitioner, or therapist who specializes in somatic and integrative psychology. These suggestions do not solely apply to times when there are eclipses, but can be used anytime you desire to clarify your inner world and vision for what you would like your life to look like.
Focus Energy
Another practice to work with eclipse energy is to focus on one or two projects and not scatter yourself to thin with too many things to do. These will allow you to harness the intensity of eclipse energy into a study, project, or craft, in essence, utilizing this energy to help you further a goal.
Move, Nourish, Rest
Taking care of your physical health during eclipses (or anytime really!) is super important. Getting enough exercise will help you physically move through some of the intense energy present, as well as, restful practices like breath work, yoga, and just getting enough sleep will help you feel better and aid your clarity in these times. Nourshing your body with sattvic foods can be helpful during these times as well. According to the yogic and ayurvedic tradition sattvic foods help bring stability, peace, calmness, and nourishment to the body, mind, and spirit. Other foods are considered energerically activting, which works in small amounts, but too much and it will not be supportive espcially during eclipses. Nature
Another tip for creating stability and clarity during eclipses is to spend time in nature. Some people find it to be very helpful to be near water during eclipses. This could be spending time near a stream, river, ocean, or even a fountain or pond if you are in an urban space. Others find it the most helpful to be near big, old, sturdy trees. There is a deep and ancient wisdom to being in nature near these beings that brings strength and calmness to our spirits.
